“There’s got to be more to life”

Welcome to Flawed Wanderer Blog!

Hi, I’m Lisa and I am self confessed traveller! I have caught the travel bug HARD!

I am someone who has lived in a big city all their life, adores dressing up, glamming up with cosmetics and has always been career focused so I thought I was living the dream when I moved to London.

But yet, it wasn’t enough to make me happy.
I had this feeling that there has to be more to life – this couldn’t be it like the Stacey Orrico song.

Having felt like I have been stuck in life for so long. I kept thinking about what changes I needed to make me more satisfied in life.
I tried doing small things that were getting fit, cooking and picking up new hobbies but it wasn’t bringing any happiness.
Which is when I thought deeply about disappearing from life and travelling to places that I only dreamt about when I was a child. I grew up in council estate and these dreams of travelling the world was so far fetched that for some reasons I pushed this at the back of my mind .. The thought of making this a reality really got my juices flowing and my brain active again. So I made a decision to leave my job, leave London and travel.

That’s when I gave birth to this blog.

Being able to travel has allowed me to test myself mentally and physically. I have been able to explore different cultures, meet people and put myself in situations that I would deem uncomfortable but it seemed natural when I was doing my own thing and out in the world.

As a solo female traveller, I’ve made some mistakes (some are laughable) so I thought that I would share them with the world and hope that you learn from my experience.

Maybe you’ll find out some other tips too 🙂

If you have any comments or would like to share any experiences – please do let me know as I would love to hear from you.

If you would like to stay connected with you so please follow me on Instagram and Twitter.

Peace out!

Lisa xoxo
